The Context
On TikTok and Reels, your follower count doesn't matter. The algorithm evaluates every video based on two metrics: Watch Time (retention) and Engagement (shares/saves). This script structure guarantees you hit both.
The Execution Plan
00:00 - 00:03 | The Pattern Interrupt Hook
- Visually change the scene or use aggressive motion immediately to stop the scroll.
- Verbally state the bold claim, contrary opinion, or exact payoff. (e.g., 'Stop doing X if you want Y. Do this instead.')
- Add text-on-screen right in the middle to reinforce the audio.
00:03 - 00:08 | The Context / Agitation
- Acknowledge the consumer's pain point.
- Explain exactly why their current method is failing them. Agitate the problem to build tension.
00:08 - 00:25 | The Meat (The Payoff)
- Deliver the actual value rapidly. Do NOT take deep breaths or pause.
- Use B-roll, jump cuts, or sound effects every 3-4 seconds to visually reset the viewer's attention span.
00:25 - 00:30 | The Loop & CTA
- Tell them to save the video for later (this metric is heavily weighted by the algorithm).
- End your sentence in a way that seamlessly loops back into the beginning of the Hook to score an accidental re-watch.
Expert Pro Tip
If you have to 'introduce' yourself at the start of the video, you've already lost. Remove 'Hey guys, my name is...' entirely. Nobody cares who you are until you've provided value.
